Notes on Everyday

#001 Hearing the sizzle of butter in a pan
I was making myself an omelet this morning, and added dollops of butter to my frying pan. Not entirely healthy but it was my cheat day, after all. The tiny pats of butter melted with the egg yolk, and the pan gave a soft hiss, before turning into a pot of molten gold. I was redolent with the nutty, warm, savory aroma that drifted across the kitchen, and was instantly reminded of why butter makes everything so much more delicious.
I almost burnt my tongue trying to eat the omelet directly off the pan. But trust me, it was the best thing I ate today.
I petition for buttery, creamy omelets everyday!
